Power & Gas: Process & Technology: Allegro Retail Power Implementation
North American Power (NAP) is a retail power and natural gas supplier based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Founded in 2009, NAP has over $250 million in revenues and has been recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Most Promising Companies, and by Inc. 5000 as one of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies. NAP engaged Opportune to assist with one of the first Allegro implementations for their new Retail Power offering targeted specifically for power Retail Electric Providers (REPs).
Opportune assisted NAP with the software evaluation and selection of Allegro and Adapt2 platforms. Integration of Adapt2 with Allegro provides an integrated solution for managing and reporting total COGS (Cost of Goods Sold). Working with Allegro, Adapt2 and NAP, Opportune installed the software in a cloud-hosted environment. The use of Tableau on top of Allegro provides superior ability to visualize, analyze, and manage massive amounts of hourly power data.
During the implementation, Opportune acted as the overall system integrator for both systems and provided overall project management. Opportune managed the system configuration and implementation efforts, developed system interfaces, and ran data conversion efforts. Additionally, Opportune defined business-use cases with NAP, led Quality Assurance (QA), and performed User Acceptance Testing (UAT). The team was able to utilize Opportune’s Allegro certified System Administrators to provide Allegro System Administration support. Opportune also led Go-Live efforts, conducted NAP user-training, and developed transition documents.
