Opportune LLP Welcomes New Partner

HOUSTON – Managing Partner, David C. Baggett, announced today that Josh Sherman has been admitted to the partnership. Mr. Sherman’s primary areas of practice are technical financial reporting research, SEC reporting and registration statements, financial due diligence, and structuring contracts.

Mr. Sherman specializes in energy trading and derivatives, variable interest entities, business combinations, reverse mergers and stock-based compensation. Prior to joining Opportune LLP, Josh worked in Deloitte & Touche’s audit and global energy markets departments where he managed the audits of regulated gas and electric utilities, independent power producers and energy trading entities. “When clients call on us, they want to be confident that their interests are being well-advised. Josh will add to our pool of talent who will continue to provide our clients with a high level of service and expertise,” Mr. Baggett said.

Mr. Sherman, a 1998 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, is a member of the AICPA.
