Opportune Hires 13 New College Graduates

Opportune LLP, a leading international energy consulting firm, announced today that it has hired 13 new college graduates as part of the firm’s recruitment strategy to attract the next generation of top energy industry talent.

The employees will participate in Opportune’s knowledge-transfer and training program across the company’s Process & Technology, Restructuring and Entity Valuation practices. Opportune has made a significant investment in employee training to ensure entry-level employees are equipped with the technical knowledge and skills to grow and succeed within the company.

“The oil and gas industry workforce is seeing a renewed interest from millennials,” said David Baggett, managing partner of Opportune LLP. “Millennials will soon constitute a majority of the workforce. Thus, it’s crucial that we focus on transferring knowledge and capabilities among our team members to make certain that this younger generation of talent is prepared and ready to step into leadership roles in the future.”

The new hires include:

  • Julian Advani: Julian Advani joined Opportune’s Corporate Finance practice. Julian obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a certificate in Corporate Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston.
  • Bilal Ali: Bilal Ali joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Bilal holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. He served on numerous committees for the Management Information Systems Student Organization (MISSO) at the University of Houston.
  • Trey Brasseaux: Trey Brasseaux joined Opportune’s Entity Valuation practice. Trey graduated from Texas A&M University where he received a Master of Financial Management degree and Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.
  • Thomas Cox: Thomas Cox, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Thomas received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and held leadership roles in multiple student organizations.
  • Madeline Kelly: Madeline Kelly joined Opportune’s Complex Financial Reporting practice. Madeline graduated from Texas A&M University where she completed the Professional Program of Accounting in the Entrepreneurial Leadership Track.
  • Kyle Luong: Kyle Luong, a native Houstonian, joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Kyle graduated from Texas A&M University where he majored in Petroleum Engineering and also served as the head coach of the Texas A&M men’s water polo team.
  • Madalyn Marinick: Madalyn Marinick joined Opportune’s Outsourcing practice. Madalyn graduated from the University of Oklahoma where she completed her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Energy Management.
  • Eason Qiu: Eason Qiu joined Opportune’s Restructuring practice. Eason graduated from Texas A&M University where he completed the Professional Program of Accounting, gaining a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting.
  • Jackson Russell: Jackson Russell joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Jackson graduated from the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Energy Management and Finance.
  • Alex Sezer: Alex Sezer joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Alex graduated from Texas A&M University majoring in Industrial Distribution. Alex was a member of the Texas A&M football team.
  • Kush Shah: Kush Shah joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Kush graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University.
  • Samuel Stewart: Samuel Stewart joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Samuel graduated from the University of Oklahoma where he majored in Supply Chain Management.
  • Rohit Sulladmath: Rohit Sulladmath joined Opportune’s Process & Technology practice. Rohit graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management Information Systems.
