Power & Gas: Process & Technology: Allegro Natural Gas Implementation

Opportune’s Process and Technology experts worked with NAP from project management, business configuration designs, and data setup to managing the parallel testing process and go-live deployment.

To ensure a smooth transition to the new Allegro system Opportune developed project plans, functional designs, data templates, testing plans, and a deployment plan.  Our team reviewed North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB), transportation, and storage contracts in order to setup crucial contract information for master agreements, transportation contracts, storage contracts, and related rates, fees, loss, etc. specified by the terms.

Opportune also setup various scenarios for each of the pipelines to warrant adequate structure and configuration.  We implemented out-of-the-box Allegro price functionality to import forward price curves and settled International Fusion Energy Research Centre (IFERC) prices, and we created custom Trade Templates for an extremely efficient trade entry process.

Our team of experts also setup risk reports to enable NAP to review their mark-to-market (MTM) and physical positions.  The risk reports include complete input of financial trades, complete scheduling, and review of any resulting imbalances on a monthly basis.  Additionally, Opportune managed parallel testing before go-live deployment to aid NAP in their monthly data reconciliation in Allegro to third-party invoices.
