Opportune LLP Admits Three Partners

Opportune LLP is pleased to announce that Carl Wimberley, Sean Clements, and Kurt King, all formerly Managing Directors of Opportune, have been admitted to the partnership.

Carl Wimberley currently runs the upstream sector practices of Opportune. Prior to joining Opportune in 2014, Carl was the Senior Vice President of Legend Natural Gas serving in a number of roles including General Counsel, VP of Land and Chief Administrative Officer.  Carl has more than 25 years of business experience, including 8 years as a Partner with Winstead and 8 years as a senior executive in the energy industry.

Sean Clements joined Opportune in 2007 after working as a Manager in the Dispute and Investigation practices of Navigant Consulting Inc. and Deloitte & Touche. Sean has over 15 years of consulting and advisory experience across the entire energy spectrum and specializes in restructurings, valuations and forensic investigations.

Kurt King is in charge of the midstream sector practices of Opportune. Kurt has over 22 years of energy supply chain experience with a particular focus on the midstream, downstream, and commodities marketing sectors. Prior to joining Opportune in 2009, Kurt served as Director of Crude and Products Trading Systems for Barclays Capital and Duke Energy and as a Senior Manager in Accenture’s energy practice.
