Opportune LLP Promotes Farhana Ahmed and Amy Stutzman to Managing Directors
Farhana was previously a director with Opportune’s Restructuring practice. Her experience includes extensive strategic and advisory assignments with oil and gas clients. Prior to joining Opportune, Farhana worked as an energy investment banker at Goldman Sachs, a private equity investor at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and a consultant at Accenture.
“Farhana’s promotion is a testament to her depth of industry knowledge and her work ethic as a director with our Restructuring group,” said Opportune Partner Sean Clements. “Considering her track record and proven ability as a leader, we look forward to her continued dedication to our clients.”
Amy previously served as a director in Opportune’s Complex Financial Reporting group based in the Tulsa office. She has 15 years of experience in technical accounting and SEC reporting. Amy has lived and worked overseas in Cairo and Buenos Aires, which has given her significant experience in understanding business processes and risks, and communicating across cultures, departments and reporting segments. Prior to moving overseas, Amy worked as an audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, serving clients primarily in the energy and telecommunications industries.
“We are excited to announce Amy’s promotion to managing director,” said Opportune Partner Josh Sherman. “Her unique industry experience and commitment to delivering excellence will continue to add extraordinary value to our clients.”
