Tommy Mars Joins as Managing Director
Opportune Consulting, Ltd. is pleased to announce that Tommy Mars has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its European practice, headquartered in London. Mr. Mars brings over 15 years of energy industry experience to Opportune. Mr. Mars will focus on expanding Opportune’s upstream, midstream, downstream, power and commodities industry sectors to leverage Opportune’s broad range of energy advisory and consultancy capabilities.
Prior to joining Opportune, Mr. Mars was a top executive in the oil and gas practice at Accenture in Dubai where he helped build and lead their energy practice in the Middle East. While at Accenture, Mr. Mars initiated and delivered high-profile projects for supermajors and national oil companies as well as governments and services companies. Mr. Mars also played an integral role in establishing Accenture as trusted partner and credible industry player in the Middle East.
Throughout his career, Mr. Mars has assisted a wide range of energy companies in various operational and financial matters covering all parts of the oil and gas value chain. Mr. Mars has developed considerable experience in the upstream, downstream and oilfield services segments as a highly skilled consultant with specific expertise in leading transformation and strategy, globalization, outsourcing, operations, and strategic planning, all from a development and implementation perspective. In addition, Mr. Mars is a frequent speaker on an expansive list of industry topics and his business achievements have been published in respected energy industry publications.
