Professional Experience
As Chief Corporate Development Officer at Opportune, Denna’s primary focus is cultivating and sustaining new and existing client relationships across the firm and assisting service lines with project allocations and development. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate development, business development, project management, and acquisition and divestitures. Before joining Opportune, Denna previously served as Vice President of Corporate Development and Executive Director of Acquisitions & Divestitures at EnergyNet where she assisted the business development team with client relations, performance, and overall company objectives. Prior to becoming VP of Corporate Development, Denna has served in various business development and technical roles.
Hart Energy previously recognized Denna as one of its 25 Influential Women in Energy in 2022. She was also awarded the Exemplary Volunteer Award Member in 2022 by SPE International Gulf Coast section.
Denna earned her B.A. degree in Business Administration, as well as a Petroleum Land Management Certification, and holds FINRA Series 22 and 63 licenses.

- Led the proposal and management process of unique asset sales of the business development team that generated upwards of $8 billion in oil and gas property transactions over the last five years
- In prior teams, involved in the negotiation and closing of unique asset sales that led to $15+ billion in oil and gas property transactions
- Managed property acquisitions and divestment through auction and negotiated sale processes
- Organized and managed technical teams necessary to successfully market upstream transactions
- Handled and facilitated bid negotiations leading to the successful close of asset sales
