Professional Experience

Jobin Varghese is the Director of Geology with Opportune Partners LLC, an independent banking and financial advisory affiliate at Opportune LLP. Jobin brings almost ten years of energy industry experience, with specialized expertise in upstream asset valuations. Before joining Opportune, Jobin was Vice President of Engineering at RBC, where he advised clients in over $10 billion of transactions across every major US basin. Jobin joined RBC after working at Shell, where he held reservoir engineering roles on both their Delaware Basin and Perdido assets.

Jobin holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a FINRA Series 79 and 63 registered representative.

Representative Projects

• Provided technical expertise to large and mid-cap E&P and midstream companies for A&D and M&A transactions.
• Worked with client management and technical teams to create and manage VDRs and transaction pitch materials. Experience working on both the buy-side and sell-side.
