Professional Experience

Linden Nicosia is a Managing Director in Opportune LLP’s Restructuring and Lender Advisory practices, where she advises financial institutions and energy companies on complex financial and operational challenges, including both in- and out-of-court restructurings and corporate turnarounds.

Linden brings deep industry expertise in oil and gas, with a particular focus on risk management and commodity trading best practices. She has led engagements evaluating trading operations, credit policies, and risk frameworks, and has supported both lenders and operators in navigating distressed and evolving market conditions. Her academic foundation in supply chain management and finance enables her to approach client challenges with a structured, analytical mindset, balancing strategic insights with practical execution.

Linden holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from Texas A&M University She is actively engaged in the Houston community, serving as an Advisory Board Member for Hermann Park and as a Corporate Guild Steering Committee member of Dress for Success Houston.

Representative Projects

Restructuring & Turnaround
  • Led a public E&P company through a Section 363 sale as part of a Chapter 11 process, overseeing the auction, purchase agreement negotiation, wind-down budgeting, and ultimately serving as financial advisor to the liquidating trust.
  • Served as restructuring advisor to an onshore E&P company, directing review and analysis of 25,000+ contracts, preparation of first-day motions and bankruptcy schedules, mortgage and lien review, and vendor dispute resolution.
  • Appointed GUC Administrator on behalf of unsecured creditors for a large public energy producer, overseeing claims reconciliation, negotiation, and creditor recoveries.
Commodity Trading & Risk Advisory
  • Led multiple commodity trading risk management engagements for lenders, including borrowing base collateral reviews, risk environment assessments, and evaluation of management information systems supporting physical and financial trading.
  • Performed trading system and business process assessments to ensure alignment with client risk profiles and credit policies across diverse commodity portfolios.
  • Authored trading risk policies for commodity trading organizations, aligning governance frameworks with industry standards and best practices.
  • Served as Trading and Risk Delivery Lead for a CTRM implementation for the third-largest natural gas producer in the U.S. Lower 48, overseeing physical and financial trade workflows, credit and risk controls, delegation of authority design, and risk reporting framework development.
