Opportune LLP Implements RightAngle S20.1 Upgrade For Major Independent Refiner

One of the largest independent petroleum refiners and suppliers of unbranded transportation fuels, heating oil, petrochemical feedstocks, lubricants, and other petroleum products in the U.S (“the Company”) was utilizing an older version of ION’s RightAngle ETRM solution. To leverage new functionality, performance improvements, and keep current with vendor support the Company decided to upgrade to version S20.1.

The Company initially engaged Opportune LLP as its ETRM support service provider and utilized the experienced ETRM resources available through this service as the implementation partners for the upgrade from S16 to S20.1. The scope of services performed by Opportune’s professionals included:

• Unit testing S20.1 core functionality.
• Creation, testing, and implementation of new month-end account period closing procedures in .Net.
• Planned and executed additional testing requirements for vendor hot patch releases during the timeline of upgrade work.
• Coordinated testing of all custom system enhancements and interfaces.
• Creation of contract and statement templates in the document management system (DMS).
• Coordination of multiple environments for testing and deployments.
• Cutover planning and execution alongside client resources.
• S20.1 installation and configuration across multiple environments.
